Rites for Mrs. P. Andersen
A heart attack suffered in her home west of Dell Rapids took the life of Mrs. Petrea Andersen on Sunday, March 15.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 18 at 1:30 at the home and at the Willow Creek Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Harry Gregerson officiated. Burial was in the family lot in the Dell Rapids cemetery.
Pallbearers included George Jorgensen, Jim Jacobsen, Arnolf Albertson, L. J., Anderson, Lars Dalsgaard and Ernest Kleppe.
Petrea Bundgaard was born in Toving, Nykobing Mors, Denmark on June 15, 1895. She came to the United States in 1912, on her 17th birthday. She lived in Waterloo, Iowa several years before coming to this community where she married Anton Andersen Thanksgiving Day, 1917. They have occupied a farm several miles west of Dell Rapids since that time.
Survivors included one daughter Delaine, Mrs. Dennis Jensen, and three brothers in Denmark, Viggo, Christian and Anders Bundgaard.
Her husband died in 1952 and two sisters and an infant daughter also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Anderson was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and was known for her consideration and kindness to others.
