Nola Reynolds
October 1, 1932 - October 5, 2021
Nola was born on October 1, 1932 to George and Bertha Knutson, where she was raised on a farm near Worthing, SD. Nola married her high school sweetheart Dean Reynolds on May 24, 1953. After their two children were born, she found great joy in being a homemaker, but she also served alongside Dean in their own business Key Supply Kitchens until early 1980’s.
In her healthier years, Nola engaged in every new craft and creative idea from wheat weaving to ceramics. She loved bowling, garage sales, fashion, decorating, sunflowers, windmills and coffee with friends.
Dean and Nola loved to travel together, but she was always ready to get back home. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her priority, where they enjoyed baking banana bread and having slumber parties and movie nights. She never missed a family special occasion. She never had to be asked to babysit – she volunteered at every opportunity. Nola was a kind, loving person with a great sense of humor and had a number of treasured friendships. She loved her church family Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church where she enjoyed her Bible Study group. She also enjoyed volunteering in Christian Women’s Club.
With her entire family by her side, Nola celebrated her life of her 89th birthday in her own home on October 1st.
Nola went home to be with her Lord Jesus on October 5th, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Nola is survived by her husband Dean; two children Bryon Kent Reynolds (Lorelei) and Vicki Reynolds Greene (Alan) Sioux Falls, SD; 4 grandchildren, Bethany (BJ) Greene Pramann (Zak), Beresford, SD, Sarah Greene, Sioux Falls, SD and Rachelle Greene Brewer (Josh) Harrisburg, SD and Michaela Reynolds, Hastings, NE; 5 great grandchildren, Shade Pramann, Kyera Brewer, Taylie Brewer, Alayah Brewer and Hunter Pramann; and her sister Mae Hanscom, Sioux Falls, SD.
Nola is preceded in death by her father, George, mother Bertha and brother Donald.
