Darwin Wahlert
November 7, 1942 – February 5, 2022
Darwin Wahlert, 79, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on February 5, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2022, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls. Visitation with family present to greet friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2022, also at the funeral home.
Darwin L. Wahlert, son of George and Alma Wahlert was born in Luverne, Minnesota. He graduated from Magnolia High School and later entered the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to Beverly in 1967, and they were blessed with three children. Darwin dedicated over 30 years of service to the City of Sioux Falls. He was active in many civic organizations through the years including the American Legion and Mended Hearts.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife; children and their spouses; four grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
