Judith Rieken
Judith Rieken, 85, a 27 year resident of Sioux Falls, died Wednesday in her home at 3500 Cathie Ave.
Judith Nelson was born July 12, 1901, in Lake Preston. She married Delos Rieken Jan. 3, 1940, in Lake Preston. They farmed in the Flandreau area until 1958 when they moved to Sioux Falls. He husband died in 1978.
Survivors include three daughter; Mrs. Donald (Delores) Swain, Sioux Falls; Miriam Whempner, Casper, Wyo.; and Mrs. Lyle (Phyllis) Poppen, Hayti; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Emanuel Nelson, San Lorenzo, Calif.; and three sisters; Selma Moss, Milwaukee, Wis.; Grace Martin, Bellevue, Neb.; and Pauline Sorensen, Sioux City, Iowa.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday in Augustana Lutheran Church. Burial will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday in Dell Rapids Cemetery.
