Clista Collins, age 94, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Clista Calhoun, the daughter of Walter and Ida Amealie (Dopp), was born on October 12, 1913 in Flandreau, SD. She attended Flandreau Elementary school. Clista married Ila Collins on June 30, 1931 in Flandreau, SD.

Clista worked in the laundry department for Avera McKennan Hospital for 20 years.
She enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting and playing cards. Clista was a lifetime fan of the Minnesota Twins and would watch them whenever she could.

Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Charles Collins, Garretson, SD; nephew, Milton Hanson, MN; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 15 great- great-grandchildren.

Clista was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ila; son, Eddie Collins; and her nephew, Mike Hanson.
