Jane Strand
December 21, 1958 - June 12, 2017
Jane C. Strand, 58, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017. Visitation will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 at George Boom Funeral Home and Crematory in Sioux Falls. Family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a prayer service taking place at 5:00 p.m. Interment services will take place at a later date in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
Jane Aschoff, daughter of Robert and Jean (Tupy) Aschoff was born December 21, 1958, in Sioux Falls, SD. She attended school in Sioux Falls and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado Technical University. She was united in marriage to Rick Strand on May 2, 1980, and they enjoyed over 30 years together. Jane was employed with EROS for over 25 years, where she worked as a project manager. Some of her hobbies included spending time with family, gardening, reading, and cooking. During the fall she was always excited for Sundays when she would make a big batch of chili and watch the Minnesota Vikings with Dylan.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alyssa (Justin) Voegele of Roseville, MN; son, Dylan Strand of Sioux Falls; mother, Jean Aschoff of Sioux Falls; siblings, Ruth (Dale) Mcathie of Canton, SD, John Aschoff, Patrick Aschoff, Mary (Jon) Larson, Colleen Aschoff all of Sioux Falls, and Richard (Dawn) Aschoff of Foyil, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Aschoff.
