Tera Michelle Campbell, age 45, of Brandon, SD, went peacefully in the arms of her loving savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Ava’s House by Sanford in Sioux Falls, SD, following a 13-month struggle with Pancreatic Cancer. Tera’s family will be present to greet friends for visitation on Thursday at George Boom Funeral Chapel in Brandon from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a liturgical wake service to be held at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Brandon.

Tera Michelle was born on September 6, 1973 in St. Paul, MN to Richard and Janet (Williams) Holst. She was raised and received her education in Inver Grove Heights, MN graduating from Simley High School in 1992. She then continued her education at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN.

During Tera’s senior year in high school, she met Chad Francis Campbell, a senior from South St. Paul, MN. Tera and Chad were united in marriage on April 12, 1997 in South St. Paul, MN. They lived in the communities of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Hudson, WI and Walnut Creek, CA before making their home in Brandon, SD in 2005. Tera and Chad were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Carly in 1999 and their son, William in 2002.

While living in the Sioux Empire, Tera worked at First Dakota Bank and Sanford Health System.

Tera was an excellent cook and loved baking chocolate chip cookies for her family. She was an avid Twins and Timberwolves fan, and enjoyed the musical stylings of Trace Adkins and Kenny Chesney. Tera will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her generous, loving spirit, and her willingness to always reach out to anyone and everyone who needed her help. She brought out the best in everyone and turned people from acquaintances into close friends. Her beautiful children, Carly and Will, her loving husband, Chad, and her dogs, were the loves of her life.

Grateful for having shared Tera’s life are her husband, Chad F. Campbell of Brandon, SD; daughter, Carly Campbell of Brandon, SD; son, William Campbell of Brandon, SD; her parents, Richard and Janet Holst of Inver Grove Heights MN; sister, Pam Pittman of West St. Paul MN; three brothers: Mark (Julie) Holst of Apple Valley, MN, John (Michelle) Holst of South St. Paul, MN and Jim (Li) Holst of Atlanta, GA; her father and mother-in-law: Jerry and Vicky Campbell of Farmington, MN; Chad’s siblings: Charles (Michelle) Campbell of Warsaw, IN, and Jenna (Matt) Allerson of Lakeville, MN; many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, many great friends and two four-legged family members: Fonzie and Erin.

Tera was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: William and Hazel Holst; maternal grandparents, Louis and Mildred Williams; and a four-legged family member, Goldie.
