Lue Ann Songstad, formerly of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Tradition Assisted Living Center in Brooklyn Park, MN with family by her side. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Kahler Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be present to greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

LueAnn was born to Elsa and Ole Songstad on March 11, 1954 at Valley Springs Hospital. She lived in Garretson, SD with her parents until 1963 when they moved to Sioux Falls. LueAnn was baptized at home on April 11, 1954 and attended Zion Lutheran church in Garretson until moving to Sioux Falls. She was a member of East Side Lutheran Church and took confirmation classes and was confirmed on May 17, 1970 She went to the Assembly of God Church in Sioux Falls where she attended sunday school and bible study. During this time she accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and had an exceptional relationship with Jesus. She was a true witness for the Lord. Her favorite bible verse was the 23rd Psalm. She attended Maple and Beadle learning centers for the handicapped. She graduated from Beadle school in June of 1975. LueAnn and her mother moved to Brooklyn Park, MN in June of 2003. They moved into an assisted living facility in May of 2009. She loved hooking rugs, knitting, painting pictures and reading her bible. She leaves to celebrate her memory one brother, Lyle Songstad and wife, Marsha of Fargo, ND and one sister, Judy Songstad Biedinger and husband, Brooke of Frederic, WI., four nephews, Todd Songstad and wife, Tracy and family, Chris Songstad and wife, Jennifer and family, Frank Biedinger and wife, Jill and family and Bart Biedinger and wife, Elizabeth and family; and many friends.
