Teresa L. (Bak) Rempp, 60, of Irene, SD passed away on February 4, 2019 at Avera Sister James Care Center and Hospice House in Yankton, SD.
Funeral services will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Irene, SD on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2:00pm with Pastor Mark Ostrem officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Irene. Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 5-7pm with family present at Calvary Lutheran Church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00pm.
Teresa was born in Yankton, SD on July 30, 1958 to Erlin and Carol (Peterson) Bak. She as baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.
Teresa grew up in Irene and attended Irene Public School graduating in 1976. After high school, she worked at Gurney’s Seed and Nursery, Dakota Industries, Dale Electronics (Vishay), Irene Public School, Pioneer Memorial Hospital and Avera Sunset Manor.
Teresa married the love of her life, Daniel R. Rempp on October 24, 1981 at Calvary Lutheran Church and they resided in Irene, SD. Together they had two sons, Christopher and Nicholas.
Teresa loved to cook, bake and make cakes for special occasions, camping and kids sporting events. She also loved spending time with her family and friends especially her granddaughter Ava who was her pride and joy. She was an avid Alan Jackson fan, enjoying his music and concerts.
Grateful for sharing her life is her husband Daniel, two sons, Christopher (Sherry) Rempp, Nicholas (Katey) Rempp, and granddaughter Ava Jean Rempp, all of Irene, one brother Douglas Bak of Irene, SD, aunts; Lois Stedronsky, Lincoln, NE, Leone Brockmueller, Yankton, SD, Kathleen (John) Holleman, Brookings, SD, Jackie Peterson, Viborg, SD, brothers-in-law; Gerald (Shirley) Rempp, Yankton, SD, Don Rempp, Irene, sister-in-law Joyce (Todd) Schwader, Sioux Falls, SD and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents Erlin and Carol Bak, grandparents, Melvin and Agnes Peterson, Oliver and Edna Bak, her in-laws Glenn and Elmira Rempp-Pesicka, Norbert Pesicka, sister-in-law, Carla Rempp, uncles; Russ Stedronsky, Bruce Brockmueller, Lyle Peterson and Lynn Stedronsky.
