Yankton, SD – Irene H. Brower, 73 died Thursday at the Sacred Heart Hospital.
Irene H. Hopkins was born in Wolsey, S.D., and married C. Vernon Lathrop Dec. 3, 1924. She later married John Brower Oct. 23, 1951.
Survivors include a son, Vernon J. Lathrop, Yankton; three daughter, Mrs. Reuben Auch, Scotland, S.D., Mrs. Viva Szurek, Las Vega, Nev., Mrs. Percy Brude, Sioux Falls: 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Bill Hopkins, Jerome, Idaho; a sister, Mrs. Iona Patterson, Emory, Texas; a half-brother, Jimmy Tuttle, Gove, Okla.; two half-sisters, Margaet Hisel and Rose McLaughlin, both of Detroit Mich.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Yankton, with burial at the Dell Rapids, S.D. Cemetery. Ray FuneralChapel of Yankton is in charge of the arrangements.
