Susan Marie Toft, age 46, of Allen, TX and formerly of Canton, SD, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 in Dallas, TX while in hospice care. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Canton, with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery near Canton. Memorials may be directed to the Susan Toft Memorial Fund for the care of Mitchell Toft in care of First Bank & Trust Canton, SD. Susan was born in Sioux Falls, SD to James and Andrea (Jackson) Toft on October 28, 1964. She attended school in Brandon and Canton, graduating Canton High School in 1983. She attended Black Hills State for one year. She then relocated to the Dallas, TX area where she resided until her death. Susan was associated for many years with UBSE Engineering, where she worked as their office manager and project coordinator. She is survived by her son, Mitchell; father, Jim Toft, Canton, SD; brother, Andrew (Pam) Canton, SD and their children Devin, Megan, and Hailey; sister, Peggy Severson, Sioux Falls, SD and her children, ShayLee and Brady; special friend, Arlene Baker; along with many friends from the Dallas, TX and Canton, SD area. She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.
