1872 - 1920
Belle Rommereim was born in 1881 to Andrew J. and Anna Rommereim in Illinois. She attended grade school at Pleasant Valley School in Pleasant Township and later married Andrew Toft. They lived on a farm near Halliday, N.D., until Andrew's death in 1920. Belle and her son Kenneth returned to Beresford where she lived and cared for her mother Anna. After her mother's death, she lived with her brother Charles in Beresford until her death in 1957. Andrew and Belle are buried at the Romsdal Cemetery.
