Mrs. Marvin (Mae) Andernacht of Lennox died unexpectedly Saturday morning, May 6, 2000, the result of a heart attack. She attained the age of 80 years, 11 months and 17 days. Mae Lucille (Dreesman) Andernacht was born May 17, 1919, on a farm northeast of Chancellor, SD, a daughter of Ubbo and Lucy (Arends) Dreesman. She attended country school through sixth grade near Pumpkin Center and continued her education in Parker, SD, graduating from Parker High School in 1937. On Jun. 25, 1939, she was united in marriage to Marvin Andernacht at Parker, after which they moved to Lennox, where they spent their entire married life of nearly 61 years. Besides her parents,she was preceded in death by one grandson, Scott Fodness, on Oct. 21, 1990; one sister; Anna Hovaldt; three brothers: Henry, Enno and Dan Dreesman. She was the last surviving member of the Ubbo Dreesman family. Survivors include her husband, Marvin; three children and their spouses: Marlyce and Verl Stack of Lennox, Marcia and Dick Boese of Sioux Falls, SD, and Marlin "Butch" and Karen Andernacht of Lennox; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
