Elenora B. Johnson
(May 10, 1910 - January 21, 2011)

Eleanora was born May 10, 1910 at Centralia, WA to William and Amanda (Peterson) Lemon. When she was seven years old, her mother passed away and her father moved his family back to the Elkton area. She graduated from Flandreau High School in 1929. She married James McMahon in Flandreau in February 1933. She was a seamstress and either tailored from a pattern or remodeled a garment. Eleanora married Arnold Johnson in August 1947. She was a nurse's aide at Riverview Manor from April 1954 to March 1984. Her husband preceded her in death on May 18, 1961. She became a resident at Riverview on May 3, 2002. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling and reading.

Eleanora is survived by two sons, Thomas (Eleanor) McMahon, Sioux Falls, Gary (Shirley) McMahon, Irving, TX; five grandchildren, Michelle, Callae, Mike, Julie, Barb and seven great-grandchildren, Ellie, Hatcher, Paige, Amanda, Christina, Sammy and Catie.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation begins at 10:00 am Thursday at the church. Memorials preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
