Mrs. Herbert Stelzer
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Herbert Stelzer June 30 at the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids with the Rev. Martin L. Haase and John Watne officiating.
Mrs. Stelzer, 46, died suddenly in Dell Rapids June 27 at her home in Dell Rapids. The cause of death at press time was not known. The Minnehaha County Coroner is investigating the death.
Mrs. Stelzer, formerly Beverly Gerry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Gerry was born August 30, 1932. She was raised in Sioux Falls and attended school there. She married Herbert Stelzer, Nov. 27, 1950 in Luverne, Minn. the couple lived in Garden Grove, Calif. until they moved back to South Dakota in 1962. In 1964 they moved to Dell Rapids.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Lauretta Gerry of Sioux Falls; three sons, Joel, Mark and Dana, all of Dell Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. Vicki Bunkers, Dell Rapids; two brothers, Keith Gerry of Golden, Colo., and Dennis Gerry of Santa, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Darliene Kerper of Anaheim, Calif., Mrs. Gail Sandoval of Evansville, Ind., Carol Wilcox and Mrs. Harriett Cutterbot of Sioux falls and five grandchildren.
Casketbearers were Ervin Stelzer, Art Stelzer, Greg Stelzer, Robert Stelzer, Vince Larson and Wayne Anderson. Glen Reams and Steve Clements were ushers. She was buried at the Dell Rapids Cemetery.
