Mrs. Vera Browning
Dies at Sioux Falls.

Committal rites were held in the Dell Rapids Cemetery on Saturday for Mrs. Vera Browning of Sioux Falls who died last Thursday evening after a lingering illness.

Vera Bell Packman was born on November 19, 1898, at Swea City, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burt Packman. The family moved to Dell Rapids later where they lived for years.

Before her marriage to Mr. Browning she was connected with the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, in the accounting department in Sioux Falls and later was transferred to Minneapolis.

She was married at Sioux City in 1921 to Mr. Browning, who survives her. She is also survived by two sons, Robert and John Browning, both living at home in Sioux Falls; her mother, Mrs. Burt Packman of Sioux Falls; a sister, Mrs. Ardys Henderson, St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Lyle and Wallace Packman, both of Sioux Falls. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Neva.

Funeral services were held from the Miller Funeral Home Saturday afternoon. Serving as pallbearers were Ed Charlton, Joe Could, Robert Fitzgerald, W.A. Pinet, Earl Dummermuth and John Humphrey. Members of the VFW auxiliary attended the funeral in a body.
