Mrs. Inga Dockstader is buried Monday
Mrs. Inga Dockstader, a longtime resident of Dell Rapids died in the Dell Rapids Hospital Friday, Sept. 11, after a short illness. She was 90 years old. Services were conducted by the Rev. E.L. Bersagel in Dell Rapids Lutheran Church Monday.
Mrs. Clarence Dybvig was soloist and Mrs. John Muller organist. Pallbearers were Leon Farrell, Perry Phahn, Lloyd Peterson, Darrell Dockstader, Gordon Wood and Melvin Gabriel. Interment was in the Dell Rapids cemetery with Hermanson Funeral Home in charge.
Inga Sorkilmo was born in Trondjhem, Norway on May 28, 1869 to Sara and Peder Sorkilmo. She came to the United States when still quite small.
She was married to William H. Dockstader of Dell Rapids on January 8, 1918 and lived in this vicinity since that time. She was preceded in death by her husband, two step-sons, three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by one brother, P.M. Sorkilmo, High River, Alberta, Canada; a sister Mrs. Carrie Cook, Lincoln, NE; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Anna Dockstader, Dell Rapids and a number of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Present of the services from out of town were P.M. Sorkilmo, High River, Alberta, Canada, Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Plahn and family; Mr. and Mrs. John Huebner, Mrs. Virtus Huebner, all of Colman; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Farrell, Canton; Mrs. Julia Bathen, San Francisco; Mrs. Ida Erickon and daughter, Watertown; Mrs. Louis Thompson, Misses Soline and Hilda Sorkilmo, Sioux Falls; W.H. Dockstader, Darrell and Jerry Dockstader, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Stepon, all of Kimball; Mr. and Mrs. M. Gabriel and Bonnie of Sioux Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Dockstader, Pipestone and Mrs. Gertie Wilkins and Evelyn Shuman of Trent.
