Rites are held

Services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Will Crisp who died Oct. 9 in the Dell Rapids Community Hospital. She was 92 years old. The Rev. Orland Sloat conducted the service and Mrs. Robert Waagmeester was at the organ while Mrs. Les Nelson was soloist. Pallbearers were six grandsons of the deceased: Jerry, Duane, Raymond and Terry Crisp and Fred and Bob Schwenk. Interment took place in the Dell Rapids cemetery with Hermanson's in charge.

Barbara Rae was born Sept. 28, 1874 in Aberdeen, Scottland to George and Barbara Rae. She came to Jasper, Minn., when she was 17 years old and was married to W.H. Crisp on Dec. 8, 1895 in Jasper. The family came to Dell Rapids in 1926.

Mrs. Crisp was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church in Dell Rapids until it was discontinued when she then became a supporter of the Methodist church. She was also active in the Garden Club and Eastern Star.

The Crisps celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary in 1955. Her husband preceded her in death in 1958. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. William Schwenk, Yankton; three sons, Maurice and Walter, Dell Rapids and Henry, Lake Andes; 12 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
