Children: Paulina, Margaret, Martha, John, Ted, Albert, William & Lena
Sophia Tiedemann, was born in 1871, in Germany. She was the daughter of Margaret and John Tiedemann. This family, including brothers, Jacob and Peter, departed from Hamburg, Germany, and arrived in the United States on the ship Silesia, in May of 1880. Sophia married Peter Detmers. Paulina, Margaret, Martha, John, Ted, Albert, William and Lena were born to this union.
In Dec of 1889, her daughter Paulina was born. She married Peter Detmers, and the following children were born: Margaret, Martha, John Jacob, Henry, Albert, and William Detmers. Her daughter Martha, preceded her in death, leaving a Grandchild, Lena in their care. Sophia lived much of her married life in the Turner, and Lincoln counties of South Dakota. She died on 19 June 1926, at the age of 55.
