Donna Marie (Huntimer) Tobias was born on December 25, 1944, at Chester, South Dakota to parents Lester and Martha (Kapaun) Huntimer. She grew up around the Colton area and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1962. She later graduated with a Master´s Degree from the State University of New York in Albany.
Donna moved to the Chicago area in 1967 to begin a career in teaching piano in the elementary and high school setting. Donna moved back to Colton in 1994 due to a severe ankle injury. She worked for First Premier Bank in Sioux Falls and also gave piano lessons.
Donna was a member of St. Joseph the Workman Catholic Church at Huntimer, and was a member of the Music Teacher´s National Association. She also volunteered for six years at the Washington Pavilion´s Great Hall in Sioux Falls. She was a loving friend and piano teacher.
Grateful for having shared her life are her living cousins of the Kapaun, Huntimer, and Henjum families; and her loving companions: her friend Doncan Forbes of Sioux Falls, and her two dogs. Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
