Olga Andersen
Dell Rapids – Olga A. Andersen, 100, a resident of Terrace Manor Nursing Home since January, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998, at Dell Rapids Community Hospital
Olga Christensen was born Feb. 12, 1898 in Brovst, Demark, where she was raised and attended school. She came to the United States in 1921.
On Dec. 17, 1921, she married Jens A. Andersen in Sioux Falls. They farmed in the Egan, Brookings and Flandreau area until 1958, when they retired to Dell Rapids. He husband died in 1969 and she remained in their home until this past January.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Stangland of Sioux Falls; and two grandchildren; Susan Stangland of St. Paul and Jeffrey Stangland of Sioux Falls.
Services begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Jens was born 1894 and died 1969
