Mrs. Eunice V. Topham, 69 years old, 1202 North Lincoln, West Sioux Falls, died today. Mrs. Topham, who had been a resident of Minnehaha county for half a century, succumbed early this morning at her home. She was stricken with a heart attack there at 5 o'clock Monday evening and from this cause, death resulted.

Mrs. Topham was born at Hartford, Conn., in1862. When she reached womanhood she was married to Thomas Topham, pioneer Minnehaha county farmer, who preceded his wife in death by about 17 years. They farmed in this county virtually all the time until his death. Thereafter Mrs. Topham worked out for some years and about five years ago bought her home at West Sioux Falls. Before the death of Mr. Topham, the family resided on the premises now occupied by Dr. Pardee W. Greene, west of the city.

Mrs. Topham was bothered with her heart last Saturday and called a doctor. But she had been up and about until the fatal stroke which seized her Monday evening. surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lillie Todd, who resides in Florida; a sister-in-law, Mrs., Charles Norton or California; and nephews and nieces residing on the Pacific coast, The body is at the Miller Funeral Home pending last rites. It is understood that funeral services will be held at the Miller chapel with burial in the Hartford cemetery beside the grave of her husband.
