Carol J. Sampson, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at her home of natural causes. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tea, SD, with burial to follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Public visitation begins at 2:00 pm Friday at Miller West, 6200 W. 41st St., with the family greeting friends from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Miller's. Carol J. Rothschadl, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Krol) Rothschadl, was born January 17, 1937 in Tyndall, SD. She grew up and graduated from high school in Vermillion, SD. On October 14, 1955 she was united in marriage to LeRoy Sampson in Vermillion. While he served in the military the couple lived in New Jersey and Arizona. They later settled in Sioux Falls where Carol worked at Raven Industries, Borden Shoes, Michael's and Burke's, Lamps and Shades and Eileen's. She retired due to ill health in 1985. Carol devoted her life to her home and family. She had a strong work ethic and enjoyed making friends. She always looked forward to the NFL Football Season so she could cheer her Chicago Bears on...Go Bears!
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Jeff of Chicago, IL, daughter, Tracy and her husband Tim Entringer, Tea, SD, brother, Ron Rothschadl, Vermillion, SD, sister, Kristi Hunhoff, Yankton, SD, five grandchildren and five nieces and nephews.
