Violet June Reiners was born on a farm near, Lennox, SD on June 2, 1926, the daughter of Dick O. and Tillie (Fehlhafer) Reiners. She attended rural school near Hurley and Chancellor, where she grew up.
On Dec. 13, 1947 she was united in marriage to Albert Ihnen. Her husband died on Dec. 17, 1995. Vi continued to live in Tea where she was employed at the Tea Steak House for 25 years and then at Pat?s Steak House the rest of her life. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters: Harold Reiners, Bernice Klinghagen Wilts, Deloris Freimuth, Florence Otten, Jenola Andersen, Jeanette Lape, Ardell Ihnen and Otto Reniers; a son-in-law, Morris Abraham; a daughter-in-law, Donna Ihnen and one grandson, Robert Ihnen. Grateful for having shared her life are her six children, Connie Nelson and her husband, Duane, of Tea, Pat Javers and her husband, Gene, of Lennox, Albert Ihnen, Jr. and his wife, Kiney, of Marion, Jean Weeldreyer of Tea, Alan Ihnen and his wife, Susan, of Sioux Falls and L.D. Ihnen and his fiance, Tonya, of Tea; 20 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four sisters: Lillian Freimuth of Covington, WA, Lorraine ?Tootie? Stratmeyer of Canton, Mary Ihnen and her husband, Merle, of Alexandria and Sylvia Ihnen and her husband
