Virginia Buechler, 88, died Friday, June 17, 2005. Services were at St. Magdalen's Catholic Church, Lennox, on Tuesday, June 21, 2005. The Rev. Paul Pathiyamoola officiating. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Lennox. Casketbearers were Scott Aurit, Michale Ver Meer, Tony Groebner, Bernard Kaskie, Nick Oyen and Steve VanBockern. J. Virginia Bosman was born at Norfolk, Va., March 5, 1917, the daughter of Benjamin and Josephine (Oaks) Bosman. She grew up and attended school in this area, graduating from Maury High School in 1937. She attended one year of business college and became a medical secretary for the Navy at Portsmith Naval Hospital. On May 4, 1946, she was united in marriage to Milton Buechler at the U.S. Chapel, Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, Va. The couple moved to Vermillion in 1948 and then to Lennox in 1950. Virginia was a devoted wife and homemaker. She worked at the couples' law office in Lennox as a legal secretary for a period of 45 years. Milton died March 9, 1997. Virginia was a member of St. Magdalen's Catholic Church and the Lennox American Legion Auxiliary. She was proud to have been a high school track and volleyball athlete. She enjoyed Bridge, Book Club, crocheting, bookkeeping and bird watching. Besides her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by a son, David Buechler on Jan. 11, 2000, and one brother, Edward Wallace. Having been in declining health since January, Virginia died June 17, 2005, at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center. She attained the age of 88 years, three months and 12 days. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Karen K. and Tom Groover of Boulder, Colo., James F. and Mary Buechler of Papillion, Neb., Mary Jo and Tom Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and daughter-in-law, Patricia Buechler of Chancellor, S.D.; 12 grandchildren: Melissa Ver Meer, Sarah Aurit, Jessica and Krista Buechler, Michael and David Groover, Kari Ann and D. Michael, Jennifer and Rebecca Buechler, Alllison and Kaitlin Johnson; three great-grandchildren: Alex Skoda, John Paul Aurit and Gianna Aurit; siblings, Louise Bosman and George Wallace, both of Virginia Beach, Va.
