Requiem Mass for Albert T. Bowen was held in St. Mary Catholic Church, Dell Rapids Monday, Feb. 9. Mr. Bowen died in the Dell Rapids Hospital Feb. 6. The Rev. Paul Bachman officiated at the service. Interment took place in Str. Mary Cemetery with Hermanson's in charge. Pallbearers were Bill Bowen, Jim, Tom and Mary Boyum, Bill and Steve Fiegen. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Greening, Jim Westerman, Bill Boelens and K.R. Tobin.
Albert T. Bowen was born Nov. 5, 1890 in Huntimer. He attended the rural school in the area. He was united in marriage with Anna Keefer on Nov. 2, 1921 in Dell Rapids.
He farmed and auctioneered in the Dell rapids area until 1950 when they moved into town. He served as chief of Police for Dell Rapids for ten years.
He is survived by his widow, a son Bill of Sherman, two daughters, Mrs. Bernadine Fiegen of Tempe, Ariz., and Mrs. Jim Boyum, Renner; a twin brother, Adelbert Bowen, Sioux Falls, a sister Mrs. Genevieve Zentgraf, Minneapolis, 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
