June 15, 1971 - August 13, 2022

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, August 19, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Peace Lutheran Church with family present to greet friends.

Kari Anne Danielson Kirschenman was born at Avera Mckennan in Sioux Falls, SD, June 15, 1971 to Ken and Arlene (Lind) Danielson. She Died on August 13, 2022 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Kari attended kindergarten in Hartford, SD and first grade in Parker, SD. The family then moved to an acreage outside of Harrisburg, SD where she attended grades two through twelve. Kari graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1989.

In high school, Kari was involved in cheer leading and had many friends whom she spent a lot of time and sleepovers with. She and her sister, Wendy, had the typical sibling rivalry, often times squabbling over who wore whose clothing, who spent more time in the bathroom styling their 80’s style of hair, who had to buy the hairspray, etc. Ultimately the two became inseparable through their adult years. They couldn’t go a day without calling each other.

In the summer of 1989, Kari met the love of her life, Mark Kirschenman outside her apartment in the parking lot. Mark and Kari were united in marriage on October 22, 1990. They soon welcomed their son Blake. The family built their first home and moved out to Tea, SD in 1993. Mark had a career at Citi Bank and Kari became a stay-at-home mom. In1995 their daughter Adrianne was born to complete the family. In 2001, the family built their second home in Sioux Falls where they raised the kids for the next 16 years.

Blake and Adrianne were the joy of her life. After several years at home with her kids, Kari and her friend started a part time cleaning business and continued this business for 17 years so she could self schedule and not miss out on any activities Blake and Adrianne were involved in through their school years. Mark and Kari were their children’s biggest fans and supporters through high school and college sports and academics. Kari would not miss a beat. You could find her at all the events and milestones of her children. In 2014, Kari got her real estate license and worked as a Realtor helping many families find homes in the Sioux Falls area. Kari enjoyed her time on the Tim Allex Realty Group. Most recently, Kari was employed by Ronning Companies as their leasing agent.

Mark and Kari were the epitome of a happy marriage. This couple showed their children the meaning of love and happiness. Mark and Kari were each other’s best friends. The couple enjoyed home renovation projects, walks around the lake, their fur babies throughout the years and motorcycle rides. In the last three years, Mark and Kari welcomed three grandchildren, Avery Mae, Jace John, and Kennedy Reese. Kari loved the roll of “Gamma Kari.” She often spoiled the grandchildren with too many freeze-pops and all the kisses. The grandchildren loved coming over to grandma and grandpas to ride the golf cart, play at the park and swim at the lake. Kari had the most fulfilling last couple years spent with her grandchildren.

Grateful for sharing her life are her loving husband Mark, son Blake (Natalie) and grandson Jace John of Tampa, FL, daughter Adrianne (Riley Danielsen) and granddaughters, Avery Mae, and Kennedy Reese of Harrisburg, SD, father, Ken Danielson of Oklahoma City, OK, mother, Arlene (Dan) Drew, Sioux Falls, sister, Wendy Kranzler (fiance Mike Luft), Sioux Falls, bonus sister Lorie (Brian) Blackwell, Watertown, sister-in-law Teresa (Scott) Haberman, IA, nephews Gabe and Micah Kranzler, Tyler Haberman, Jordan (Katie) Kirkpatrick , Bradey (Kirsten) Blackwell, nieces Camryn and Regan Blackwell, Holly Haberman mother-in-law Judy (Terry) Coonfield, godmother Valerie Parsley, godfather Darrell Lind, several aunts and uncles, many cousins, a host of friends and co-workers, and a dear life long friend Denise Patton.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father-in-law Dale Kirschenman, and bonus sister Lisa Drew.
