Fitzsimmons, Kathleen Ann, 61, wife of George J. Fitzsimmons, died Thurs., Aug. 6, 2009 at Central Baptist Hospital. Born in Springfield, OH, she was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Betty J. Morgan Hamilton. Mrs. Fitzsimmons was a teacher for the Fayette County School System where she taught special needs children at Lansdowne Elementary. She was a member of the ADK Honorary Educational Sorority and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Survivors other than her husband include two sons, Robert Joseph (Jayna) Fitzsimmons, Sioux Falls, SD and Patrick Ryan Fitzsimmons, Louisville, KY; a sister, Karen Hamilton (David) Pedevilla, Georgetown, KY; two sisters-in-law, Visha Ann (Dale) Ritter, Springfield, OH and Paula Marie (Tom) Abbott, Green Bay, WI; and a brother-in-law, John Fitzsimmons, Springfield, OH. Funeral services will be 11 am Sat. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church by Rev. John Moriarty. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Fri. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Memorial contributions are suggested to Special Olympics Kentucky, 105 Lakeview Court, Frankfort, KY 40601.
