Bonnie Jo Birger
June 6, 1955 - May 15, 2015
Bonnie Jo Birger died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday May 15th, at the age of 59 years old. Bonnie was born in Wagner, SD on June 6th, 1955 to her parents, Robert H. and Betty J. Frei.
On June 1st, 1974, she married her love and her "rock" in life, David Birger. In 40 years of marriage, Dave and Bonnie welcomed 4 children and later 12 grandchildren. Her Family remembers her for her fun, loving, caring, and giving personality. Family and friends were valuable to her and the center of her life. Memories of Christmas time and vacations at the cabin will be embraced for years to come. Bonnie enjoyed being around her family and friends, and was always quick to open her heart and home to anyone. She was a very special person and many felt very blessed to be a part of her life.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, David Birger and her children: Justin Birger and wife, Laressa of Hills, MN; Traci and husband, Scot Harvey of Sioux Falls, SD; Shane Birger and wife, Anastasia of Sioux Falls, SD; Danielle Birger and Fiancé, Chris Pilch of Sioux Falls, SD; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Hrdlicka, and husband, LaVerne of Lincoln, NE and several nieces and nephews that were very dear to her heart.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H and Betty J Frei, and her brothers, Robert L Frei and Wiliam H Frei. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Sunnycrest Methodist Church in Sioux Falls. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home. www.heritagesfsd.com.
