Shirley Marie Bott
March 8, 1943 - April 30, 2022
Shirley Bott, Sioux Falls, SD, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, April 30, 2022, in Sioux Falls. She was 79.
Shirley Marie Bott was born March 8, 1943, in Graceville, MN, to Clifford and Myrtle (Erickson) Pratt Quinn. She was raised in Sioux Falls, SD where she attended Washington Senior High School.
On July 11, 1959, Shirley was united in marriage to Robert Bott. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls where Shirley became a loving mother and homemaker.
The family moved to Minnesota in 1966. Shirley worked for Fingerhut for a period of time before working as an office manager in tax preparation offices. Returning to Sioux Falls, SD, Shirley worked for Hutchinson Technologies until her retirement.
Shirley and Bob taught country dancing for over a decade. For years, they enjoyed attending the “June Jam” in Alabama. They also attended many Fan Fairs in Nashville where the couple had met several of their favorite country singers.
In her free time, Shirley loved to crochet. Over the years, she had made hundreds of projects, giving them away to family and friends.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Robert Bott, Sioux Falls, SD; sons, Timothy Bott, Sioux Falls, SD, Michael (Rebecca) Bott, Princeton, MN ; daughters, Lori (Geri) Bott, Lewes, DE, Robin Talsma, Sioux Falls, SD; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Friday May 6, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue in Sioux Falls. The family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 Thursday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.
