Ruby T. Hippe
March 15, 1938 - March 21, 2022
Ruby T. Hippe, 84, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, March 29 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 909 W. 33rd Street, Sioux Falls, SD with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Monday, March 28 at Miller Funeral Home-Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD.
Ruby Trephine Pederson, daughter of Arvid and Gilma (Laumb) Pederson, was born March 15, 1938 in Montevideo, MN. She grew up there graduating Montevideo High School in 1955. She then attended the Minnesota School of Business.
Ruby was united in marriage with Stan “Bud” Hippe on March 21, 1959 at Jevnager Lutheran Church in rural Montevideo, MN. Their first home was in Watertown, SD. She was the secretary at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown, SD. They were blessed with two sons, Matthew and Luther. They moved to Sioux Falls where she worked at McDowell-Rogers Reality for 20 years.
They have been members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church for 53 years where she was active in many activities and served on the church council. Ruby loved their time at the lake cabin and enjoyed the family time. She loved watching her grandchildren grow.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband of 63 years, Stan “Bud” Hippe; two sons and five grandchildren, a son, Matthew (Sandra) Hippe, Springfield, MO and their children, Andrew, Adam (fiancé, Casey), and a son, Luther (Emily) Hippe, Chanhassen, MNand their children, George, Levi, Ingrid; many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Cyrus and Arlo Pederson; a sister, Sandra Anderson.
