Peter T. Hagen Family -
Peter T. and Mrs. Hagen left Oslo, Norway, July 17, 1868. They came to Janesville, Wisconsin and stayed there five years working in a furniture factory. In July 25, 1873, they came to Dakota Terr. [Lincoln co. SD] and took a homestead four miles north and a mile east of Alcester. They lived on this homestead 84 years, then moved to Alcester, where they spent the rest of their lives. They had ten children one girl died in infancy. The children were: John, Lewis, Gust, Julia, Alma, Clara, Carl, Timon and Gina.
