A funeral Mass was held Saturday, May 27 at St. Magdalen's Catholic Church in Lennox for Carole Anderson who died at Sioux Valley Hospital on Wednesday, May 24. Carole had become suddenly ill while at work Monday and underwent emergency surgery. She attained the age of 45 years and 18 days. Interment was held in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Lennox.
Carole Lorraine Winter was born May 6, 1961 on Long Island, New York, the daughter of George and Eileen (Helmke) Winter. She grew up in Holbrook, NY where she attended Suffolk Community College and S.U.N.Y. at New Paltz, NY. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1981 where she was employed at Citibank to the present time. She was united in marriage to Michael Anderson on May 9, 1998 in Lennox. They lived most of their married life in Lennox. Carole was a member of St. Magdalen's Catholic Church. Her favorite hobby was that of a seamstress and she enjoyed making Raggedy Ann dolls and blankets for her nieces and nephews. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Michael; children, Hannah, age 5, at home and Ashlee and Jordan Anderson at Brandon; her father, George (Patricia) Winter at New Bem, NC; her mother, Eileen (William) Dargan of Spring Hill, FL; her siblings: George (Cheryl) Winter, Wayne Winter, Monica (Dennis) Pousson, Martin (Susan) Winter, Darren (Doreen) Winter, John Winter, Eric (Gloria) Winter, all in New York, Tracy (Jerry) Neff in Arizona, Roger (Debbie Corwin) Winter, Carl Winter and Sarah Winter, all in New York; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Vernon and Cecelia Anderson of Lennox; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Regina Johnson, Tea, Patrick (Sharon) Anderson, Tea, Rebecca (Scott) Hofer, Lennox, Rachell (Todd) Murra, Sioux Falls, Joseph (Karen) Anderson, Harrisburg, Casey (Michelle) Anderson, Parker, Reshia (Anthony) Nickles, Sioux Falls, Robin Anderson, Sioux Falls and Kelly (Lorie) Anderson, Gulf Breeze, FL; many aunts and uncles and 36 nieces and nephews.
