Harry T. Dieson
Services were held for Harry T. Dieson Tuesday, May 22 in the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids at 2 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Martin L. Haase.
Harry T. Dieson was born at Houston, Minn. on July 22, 1887 to Martin A. and Thone (Torgeson) Dieson. He came to Dell Rapids in 1887 at five months of age. He attended St. Olaf College and serve in France in World War I. He was married to Ann Maher in 1933 at Minneapolis, Minn. He was in mercantile business operating the Dieson's Store in Dell Rapids until retirement in 1957.
During his life in business he was active in business and community affairs. He was president of the commercial Club, officer of the cemetery board, member of the Dell Rapids Lutheran church, Lutheran Brotherhood, American Legion and IOOF.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; one sister, Eldri Dieson of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a niece, Mrs. Tonia Jauch of Geneva, Switzerland.
Casket bearers were Allen Brown, Walt Shelquist, Harold Bunkers, Dorwin Schmidt, Jerome Mikos and Harold Munk.
He was buried in Dell Rapids Cemetery.
