Young Boy Drowns While Out Boating With Companions
Brother and Another Lad Finally Get to Shore and Spread the Alarm.
Dell Rapids, S.D., July 29 – Guy, the 10-year- old son of J. G. Gronsdahl, was drowned in the Sioux River here yesterday afternoon. He, with two smaller boys, one his brother, aged 6 years, got into a small boat for a ride, and when in the middle of the stream above the waterworks Guy fell overboard. It was some little time before the smaller boys got to shore and gave the alarm and a half hour after when the body was recovered by dragging with a boat. Three doctors worked for an hour to revive him without avail.
