Larry D. Roe
(April 6, 1949 - March 21, 2009)
Larry D. Roe was born on April 6, 1949 in Wichita, KS, the son of Louis and Arlene (Holaday) Roe. He grew up and attended school in Wichita, graduating from Wichita High School South in 1967. After high school, Larry entered the work force as a tooler in the manufacturing industry. He worked for Hutchinson Technology in Sioux Falls since 1993.
Larry married Della Stark on March 31, 1972 in Wichita. The couple made their homes in McPherson, KS, where Larry worked as a machinist, Grand Junction, CO and Dell Rapids, SD from 1993 to 1997. In 1997, they moved to Sioux Falls, SD.
Larry died on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Dougherty Hospice House. He died of lung cancer caused by 45 years of smoking - don't smoke.
Larry enjoyed camping, fishing and target shooting.
He is survived by his wife, Della of Sioux Falls; his daughter, Kimberly of Sioux Falls; and his son, David of Sioux Falls, his sister, Diane McCluskey of OK, his cousin, Joretta Harris of OK, and his special in-laws, John T. and Vivian Springob of Wichita, KS.
