Funeral services for Dale D. Morgan, 59, were held in the Hermanson-Kahler Chapel, Dell Rapids February 23. Morgan died in the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls February 19. He had been a patient there since July 1973.
The Rev. Kurt Brenner officiated at the service. Pallbearers were Howard Hoyme, Florian Lickteig and Orlo, Ninus, Victor and Glenn Bortnem. Interment took place in the Dell Rapids Cemetery.
Dale Morgan was born July 11, 1914 at Egan to Mr. and Mrs. George Morgan. He attended school in Dell Rapids and lived here until 1942 when he moved to Long Beach, Ca. He made his home there until entering the Veterans Hospital last year.
He is survived by his daughters Geraldine Arneson, Sioux Falls, Judy Guinn, Toledo, Ohio; sever grandchildren; sisters Mrs. Frank Goodale, Dell Rapids, Mrs, Harry Grav, Fallbrook and Mrs. Hon Burbank; Martinez both in California, brothers Leonard, Englewood; Lester Long Beach; Charles, Oak Harbor Wash. and Robert, Rapid City. His parents and brother Francis preceded him in death.
