Michael died at the age of 72. Mike O'Connor's burial was recorded to have been the first burial at St. Mary's Cemetery after the five acres for the cemetery and church were donated by Pat Mahan. The grave was dug with the help of sixteen year old Vincent O'Connor.
According to the history, Mike was buried in lot 54; but, more recent records indicate that the cemetery has no burials in lot 54.
