Occar Mansager
Bach Raton, Fla – Oscar Mansager, 90, formerly of Colton, died Tuesday in Bocha Raton.
Oscar Mansager was born Nov. 7, 1898, in rural Colton. He grew up and attended school in Colton. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War I and served in France. In 1922 he began to work for Hoover Vacuum Company as a door-to-door salesman. He received many promotions and worked in many different cities until he became executive vice president of the company in North Canton, Ohio. He married Maud Christensen on July 20, 1936, in Denver. He retired in 1963 and moved to Florida.
Survivors include his wife; one brother, Felix, Naples, Fla; one sister, Mrs. Leland (Vivian) Randall, Dell Rapids; and 14 nieces and nephews.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in First Lutheran Church, Colton. Committal services will begin at 1:15 p.m. Monday in St. Ansgar Cemetery, Rural Colton.
