Edward C. Foss Dies At the Age of 75 Years
Edward C. Foss passed away at the Aumndson Convalescent Home in Dell Rapids Saturday morning, June 3rd at the age of 75 years and 10 months. Mr. Foss was born at Decorah, Iowa, July 26th, 1874, of the parents Lars and Lena Foss. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church by the Rev. O.A. Berge in 1889, in the Old St. Ansgar Church. Mr. Foss lived his entire life in Colton and vicinity. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Charles Shefner, Dell Rapids, two brothers, Clarence of Dell Rapids and John of Madison.
The funeral was from the Hermanson Funeral parlors at Dell Rapids Tuesday afternoon June 6th. Rev. K.B. Vaaler officiated. Everette Foss sang two solos and was accompanied by Miss Madelaine Lerdahl on the piano. Pall bearers were Geo. Grinde, Oscar Aker, Geo. Wastun, Wm. Van Liere, Carl Johnson and Carl Carsrud. Interment was made in the family plot in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
