Daughter of Pioneers of County Passes On
Miss Elizabeth Granaas Dies at Hospital Thursday Afternoon; Born in Highland Township.
Miss Elizabeth Granaas died at the Dell Rapids Hospital Thursday afternoon of last week, June 30th, after an illness of several weeks. She has been making her home of late years with her sister, Mrs. Peter Anderson, living east of Dell Rapids.
Miss Granaas was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Granaas, old settlers in Highland township. She was born on the old homestead nine miles east of Dell Rapids, on March 5, 1879, and was 48 years, 3 months and 15 days old at her death.
She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Peter Anderson of Logan Township and Mrs. Braa of Jasper.
Funeral services were held at the south Highland Church Sunday, Rev. Mr. Evenson of Sherman, pastor, preaching. The funeral was in charge of John Hermanson.
