Death of Baby Boy
A severe attack of scarlet fever caused the death of Curtis Verman Elverson, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Elverson of Logan Township, death taking place Wednesday of last week, October 12th.
Curtis Verman was born on April 18, 1926, and was one year, five months and 24 days old.
Services were held Thursday afternoon by Rev. Herbert P. Cox. Burial was in the Dell Rapids Cemetery. The family was quarantined at the time, but the quarantine has been raised, as no other members of the family have taken the dreaded disease.
The father, mother and other members of the family have our sympathy in their bereavement.
"We had a little treasure once,
He was our joy and pride.
We loved him, ah! Perhaps too well,
Fro soon he slept and died.
All is dare within our dwelling,
Lonely are our hearts today,
For the one we loved so dearly
Has forever passed away."
