Jess Jay Foster age 57, died July 17, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Center, Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation begins at noon Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue, with services starting at 1:00 PM, and burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Jess Jay Foster, son of Howard and Lucille (Van Diepen) Foster, was born July 7, 1967, in Sioux Falls, SD. He grew up in Sioux Falls, attending Laura B. Anderson Elementary, Whittier Middle School, and Lincoln High.

Jess worked for Jack Peterson at the “Sidewinder” for a brief period. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the car races. He was a talented billiard player and enjoyed gatherings with friends at the Silver Moon. His friends fondly referred to Jess as “Shaky Jay”.

Grateful for having shared his life are his mother Lucille, Sioux Falls, his sisters, Dawn (Dave) Entenman, Hartford, SD, Donna (Eric) Murphy, Sioux Falls; his special aunt and cousin, Phyllis and Lori Hanisch, Sioux Falls; and a host of other relatives and friends.
His father and brother Howard A. Foster preceded him in death.
