Leo Nguyen, 73, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at his home in Sioux Falls. A family present memorial reception will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2023, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls

Leo Nguyen was born June 15, 1950 in Vietnam where he grew up. He immigrated to the United States following the Vietnam War and lived in several places including Aberdeen, SD before moving to Sioux Falls in 1987. He married Janet Glaser and the couple later divorced. She preceded him in death.
Leo worked at John Morrell & Company before his last illness caused him to stop. One of his favorite past times was fishing, which was a love he passed on to his family.
Survivors include his six children, Tron and Amanda Glaser, Sioux Falls, SD, Jade Ross, Sioux Falls, SD, Tanner Nguyen, Storm Lake, IA, Keyah Nguyen, Aberdeen, SD, Tyler Nguyen, Sioux Falls, SD, Selena Nguyen, Flandreau, SD; 8 grandchildren; 1 brother, Toan Nguyen, Vietnam; and a host of other relatives and friends.
