Landon Sieg
August 30, 1984 - January 28, 2023
Landon Jo Sieg, 38, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away unexpectedly at home on January 28, 2023 from unforeseen health complications.
He was welcomed with joy into his family on August 30, 1984 by parents Warren and Sandra Sieg and his two older brothers, Travis and Kellen. Growing up in Sioux Falls, Landon and his family enjoyed many camping and fishing trips to the river with friends and relatives alike; he enjoyed pheasant hunting and loved everything outdoors. He became an accomplished, knowledgeable fisherman and spent many hours chasing the elusive walleye. He also loved to play a mean game of poker and was renowned amongst his family and buddies as quite the card shark.
Landon attended Oscar Howe Grade School, Memorial Middle School and Roosevelt High School, all in Sioux Falls. He participated in both football and baseball throughout his youth and high school years; however, baseball was his passion. He played with the Roadrunners traveling team during high school that took part in regional and national tournaments. In addition, he played an integral part of his RHS baseball team winning the state baseball championship when he was a senior.
Landon became a journeyman pipefitter and worked as a foreman for various commercial fire sprinkler companies both in Colorado and Sioux Falls.
Forever grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Warren and Sandra (Hohbach) Sieg; brothers Travis Sieg and Kellen / Sarah (Williamson) Sieg, along with niece and nephew, Aubryn and Maddox – all of Sioux Falls; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. He was proceeded in death by grandparents Arthur and Carol Sieg of Sioux Falls; and Carl and Maxine Hohbach of White Lake, SD.
Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with family present. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 10:30 am at Peace Lutheran Church (followed by a family burial service at Woodlawn Cemetery). Should you send flowers for Landon's service the family is working with The Flower Mill in Sioux Falls, SD.
