Robert Charles Boss
January 5, 1990 - January 26, 2022
Sioux Falls, SD ~ Robert “Robbie” Charles Boss, age 32, died on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. A celebration of his life will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Embrace Church in Sioux Falls, SD. His family will be present to greet friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Robert Charles Boss was born on January 5, 1990 in Watertown, SD to Delwyn and Kimberly (Engesser) Boss. He was raised and received his education in Crooks, SD and attended and graduated from Tri-Valley High School where he played on the high school basketball team and ran track. Following high school, Robbie continued his education in Madison, SD at Dakota State University.
Robbie was a hard worker who began his career in the food service industry by working at Culvers in high school and then followed by many establishments in Sioux Falls, Gigglebees Family Fun Center, Bracco, Granite City, The Country Club of Sioux Falls, Crave, The Sandbar Bar and Grill and most recently Morrie’s Steakhouse. While working at Crave, Robbie met the love of his life, Alyssa Winberg and for the last two and a half years, have been inseparable.
Robbie lived his life by the motto “You gotta to take care of the people who take care of you.” This was evident in Robbie always making sure his friends and family were alright and having a good time. He was an excellent story teller, and was sincere when giving and listening to others. He enjoyed playing pool and was in many leagues, fishing and boating at Lake Brant, collecting shoes, playing cribbage, cheering for the Minnesota Vikings and The Ohio State Buckeyes and traveling; especially with Alyssa. Above all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Robbie was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many, who will be deeply missed.
Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Kimberly and Jeff Wells, Sioux Falls, SD; three brothers, Jacob Boss, Hartford, SD, Jon Boss, Hartford, SD and Carter Wells, Sioux Falls, SD; two nephews, Raymond and Elliot Boss; the love of his life, Alyssa Winberg; grandparents, Tom & Dee Engesser, Clark, SD and Allen and Sandy Wells, Watertown, SD; aunt, Deb Fink and her husband, Vic, Missoula, MT; uncle, Daryn Engesser, Powell MT; Alyssa’s parents, Donna & Craig Winberg, Sioux Falls, SD; many cousins and friends.
Robbie is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Charles & Thelma Engesser and Raymond & Esther Werre; and his dear friend, Jake Lidel.
