Troy A. Nickelson
March 19, 1967 - July 17, 2022
Troy A. Nickelson, 55, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
Memorial service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 27, at Miller Funeral Home-Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave., Sioux Falls, SD with the family present one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Troy Allen Nickelson, son of Malcomo and Patricia (Leimbach) Nickelson, was born March 19, 1967 in Sioux Falls, SD. He grew up in Sioux Falls where he graduated from Washington High School in 1985. He attended Southeast Area VoTech for Auto and Diesel Mechanic.
Troy was united in marriage with Tammy Hubert in 1993. To this union they were blessed with a daughter, Ashley.
Troy enjoyed tinkering with his motorcycles. He spent a lot of his time in his garage working on the bikes. He had many friends and enjoyed spending time with his “fur buddy”, Thunder his longtime canine companion. Troy always had a need for speed and loved the freedom that his motorcycles brought to him.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Nickelson and her two children, Henzley and Briggan; his mother, Patty Kryger, Sioux Falls, SD; his father, Malcomo Nickelson, WA; a sister, Lisa (Bradley) Quartier, Sioux Falls, SD and their children, Anthony Froseth and Samantha Quartier and her children, Oliver and Rosie. Troy will be missed by everyone who had a part in his life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Helen Leimbach; and his canine companion, Thunder.
