Donna spent time working in Minneapolis, MN and San Diego, CA before returning to Sioux Falls. She worked in health care at the VA Regional Hospital in Sioux Falls until she retired in 2005.
Donna passed away on March 30, 2018 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center after a brief and well fought battle with her illness. She was 69 years old.
She will be remembered as a devoted friend, cherished daughter and sister, and a beloved and special aunt. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with freinds and loved ones, reading books, water aerobics at the Wellsness Center and watching the Big Bang Theory. She was sassy, stubborn and never skipped a daily game of Solitaire. She will be dearly missed.
Grateful for having shared in her life is a sister, Deb, and her husband, Brian Shaw; a niece, Laura and nephew, Andrew; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mary.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local humane society or animal rescue in Donna’s memory.
