Paul Peterson

Paul C. Peterson, 78, of 705 E. 32nd St., died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at Royal C. Johnson Veterans Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 19, 1921 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from East High in Sioux City in 1939. He entered the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942 and was discharged as Staff Sergeant in 1945 and began his employment with Steel Simon.

He married Viola Bjerk on June 9, 19514, in Sioux Falls. He remained at Steel Simon until 1975. He then began working at Sun Bank. He retired as a bank officer with First Interstate Bank.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church, past master of Unity Lodge No. 1930, and member of Sioux Falls York Rite Bodies American Legion Post No. 15 and Elks Lodge No. 262.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a brother, Earl, f Peterson, Iowa.

Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation begins at noon Friday at Miller Funeral Home, with family present following a Masonic service at 7 p.m.

Memorial may be directed to the Shriner’s Children’s’ Hospital.
