Wade Alton Lacey was born March 31, 1991 in Pipestone, MN. He attended elementary school and middle school in Flandreau, SD and finished middle school in Sioux Falls. In 2005 Wade moved to Dell Rapids with his family and graduated from Dell Rapids Public High School in 2009. His son Zander Ramone, was born February 19, 2008 and daughter Danika Richelle, was born June 17, 2009. Wade was a sincere father, wanting only the best for his children.
Wade spent many years of his childhood playing at the Trent Pool or biking around. He enjoyed skate boarding and snowboarding with many friends and family. He shared his talents with others teaching them how to ride and encouraging them to hit the jump. He was fearless on a bike or snowboard.
Wade was an artist and musician. He was a member of several bands most recently working to form the band Stiletto. He spent many hours writing music and practicing, looking forward to playing shows. While in high school, Wade and his friends formed the band Riot 404 and played as many "Moose Lodge" shows as they could find. Wade always looked for new canvases to decorate, whether it was paper, canvas, concrete, clothing or skin. He felt passionate about his music and art and wanted to share his passion with those around him. His musical abilities came naturally and his desire to play guitar was deep. He enjoyed working on guitars, cars, whatever needed fixing, that ability was a gift that was given to him by his father. He was proud to say "I've done that before with my Dad".
Wade had a love for expressing his art through tattooing. He was left handed and filled his right arm with his work. He enjoyed designing art for others and put his heart and soul into his work. We know a part him was in every sketch he drew. Wade's style was one of a kind, making his presence known to all and unforgettable.
Wade was a father, son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, friend and foster-brother. Wade shared the last two years of his life with his girlfriend, Michelle Devlin and her family. All those who knew him were proud to say he was theirs. Wade had a gentle heart and took his job as a big brother seriously, sharing his love and talents with his brother. Wade openly and willingly shared his home and family with the foster children who came to live with his family. He loved his family and especially his children. He always made people feel good.
We know Wade has touched many lives and has left his mark on many places in this world. Wade was a beautiful person and will be missed greatly.
